Travel Basketball  2021-22

WBA is prepared to register players, conduct evaluations, form travel teams, and host MetroWest League games at Winchester High School, the pandemic continues to affect the availability of all other gyms in town, which presents a variable the WBA cannot control.

Evaluations for boys and girls interested in playing travel basketball will be conducted at Winchester High School beginning in mid-October View Travel Evaluation Schedule

Once teams are formed in late October, practices and games will soon begin. However, until we receive updates from the superintendent and his staff about additional gym rentals, we ask for your patience and understanding because the quantity and frequency of basketball activities cannot be finalized at this time.

Prior to the pandemic, WBA travel teams practiced twice (2x) a week and played two (2x) games per week. This year, it is possible teams may be limited to one (1x) practice and one (1x) game per week. At a minimum, all teams will have a (1x) weekly practice and play 12 regular season games as well as at least one (1) playoff game.

When you register your player, you will pay a $150 fee. This is the first portion of the travel basketball fee. The remaining fee will be paid by you in a second transaction during early November. The amount of the second fee will be determined once the WBA determines whether or not it can rent more gym space and offer more playing opportunities. We estimate that the second fee will be in the range of $125 to $175.

Estimated Full Fee $275-325
Initial Payment $150
Open to: Girls & Boys
5th-8th grades
